Tennessee Titans reveal renderings of proposed new domed stadium

Not long after the Tennessee Titans and the city of Nashville announced they have struck a deal on a new, $2.2 billion domed stadium, the Titans have now released renderings of what the new venue will look like.

Before we get to the actual photos, here's a look at the details of the design, per Jim Wyatt of Titans Online:

-Exterior terraces and porches with panoramic views of Nashville that will serve as social space during event days

-A circular-shaped, high-tech ETFE translucent roof

-Improved sight lines for all spectators through diverse viewing experiences

-High-tech and sustainable materials throughout the building

-Other features of the building not pictured include a 12,000 sq. ft. dedicated community space that could be utilized year-round for educational opportunities, non-profit events and other community-minded purposes.

On top of hosting Titans games, the hope is that the new stadium will be able to host a Super Bowl eventually. However, as Teresa M. Walker of the Associated Press pointed out, that could take a few years.

So, with the stadium expected to open as soon as 2026 as long as there are no hiccups with its approval, we may not see the big game in Nashville until the 2029 season at the earliest.

Now, a look at the renderings the team released on Tuesday.
